No Promises

Forgiveness Is Gift

The reason why most have a hard time forgiving others is because they to have a hard time forgiving themselves. True forgiveness comes with a chance to make things right. Forgiveness and prayer both do the work that we as humans cannot do.

Forgiveness is a learned behavior that's why it has no price and isn't sold in stores. Once you learn how to forgive yourself you then find it easy to forgive someone else, you also then have the knowledge of what is important enough to fight for.

Forgiveness has an impact on the choices that we make, the chances that we take and the relationships that we form. I say this because so many times we run right back to the very things that hurt us before and choose not to recognize it simply because the pain has a new face. I urge those of you who haven't leaned or discovered this unique gift to truly show yourself some love and give yourself the priceless gift of forgiveness.

This Heart (Freestyle)

You put a gun to my head
Asking me to choose
Between you and my pride
And because I didn't know
Which one I wanted to lose
You pulled the trigger thus
Blowing God into my head
I sat in darkness while
He worked on my heart
At the end of those seven days
I had a funeral for my pride
My excuses and all the other chicks
That I once chose over you
I then crawled back home asking
You to take me back but all
You saw was the shell of who
I used to be and because the word wasn't strong enough within me
I retreated to search out and find
The inner me while I was grinding
My heart was whining crying out
For you the Lord heard it's plea
And said enough was enough
Then released me to come home
But all you could still see was
The man I once was and all
I could see was my need for you
So I didn't let my light shine
Well here I am again trapped
Between the threshold one foot out
While my heart is saying no way
You shouldn't leave so with
Nothing left to lose I'm going to
Show you what you stand to lose
Not just a poet, a lover or a husband
But a man crowded from God
Simply because of the work that
The Lord has done on this heart.

The Storm

I have yet to let it be seen who I am not just a poet or a man but something much, much more not because I said so but because God told me so.

It's Your Choice

A Real Man

A Real Man
Will choose to forgive, love his wife like Christ loves the church, raise his children with structure based upon the Bible and give the advantage to his wife out of love instead of out force.

A Real Man
Will cover his wife's faults and stick by her side because he knows that sttubborn pride won't help his marriage survive.

A Real Man
Will pray for their wife without ceasing, remains ever hopeful despite the odds that he may face, become the example for those whom he leads and above all else allows God to set the standard for his house.

A Real Man
Isn't afraid to seek help if he sees that he needs it, accepts correction when he knows he's wrong, he accept responsibility for his actions and he learns how to deal with his problems instead of run away from them.

A Real Man
Will strive to produce fruits that helps his wife to see that he is willing to become who God called him to be.

A Real Man
Understands that it is love and prayer alone that can cause his wife to change, honors his promise to God and his wife, plus shows by his actions alone that he's willing to fight In order to protect the investment that they have both made.

A Real Man
Know that these qualities don't make him “soft”, but instead shows that he is willing to allow God to control his heart.
